Getting ready..

This is my 2nd winter since we moved to NZ.
I had great winter fishing last season, hope it gets even better  this year.

I prefer to use mayfly or caddis patterns, however, these eggs are sometimes a dynamite weapon to nail those fresh-run silver bullets.
Colours and it's size are often important, basically I use pink-base eggs, oranges are sometimes good. When the water gets a bit muddier, chartreuse or even light green works well.

According to Jim, the weather gets worse from tomorrow, hopefully a bunch of fresh fish comes up the rivers.

Keep tying everybody!
